GENERAL SANTOS CITY (01 April 2014) - City Mayor Ronnel Rivera leads the city government and GenSan Tourism Council in launching the first Gensan Summerfest Monday, March 31, at Robinsons Place. Mayor Rivera explained that Gensan Summerfest is a youth-oriented festivity dedicated to develop holistically the young Generals or residents of GenSan as responsible constituents. The fest also aims to promote GenSan's tourism by letting the youth showcase the reasons why GenSan is a nice place to visit. Starting this April up to May, Gensan Summerfest will hold sports and performing arts competitions, youth symposiums and seminars, and other civic activities for the youth.
