GENERAL SANTOS CITY (28 February 2014) - The first Mindanao Wide Battle of the Bands Competition rocked the crowd at Oval Plaza Wednesday, February 26, where 12 bands from all over Mindanao performed. In the battle of music, Punch Out band from Cagayan de Oro City outscored the rest, followed by Sound Peace band of Tagum City and Duchess in Throne of Davao City. The winning band received P100,000. City Mayor Ronnel Rivera in partnership with Sarangani Rep. Manny Pacquiao and MP Promotions organized the event. (GENSAN INFO OFFICE/Russell Delvo)
