Kalilangan is Best Tourism Event of the Philippines

GENERAL SANTOS CITY (23 February 2014) - The skies over the Oval Plaza Grounds light up with colorful fireworks to signal the opening of Kalilangan 2014 Friday, February 21. Themed as "Gensan@75: Living the Culture", this year's Kalilangan reminisces the progression of the city's culture since the arrival of General Paulino Santos on February 27, 1939 in the shores of Dadiangas or GenSan today. City Mayor Ronnel Rivera assured that in the partnership with Mindanao State University, Kalilangan 2014 will prove once again that the "Hall of Fame" distinction as the Best Tourism Event of the Philippines-Culture and Arts Category given by the Department of Tourism is well deserved.  (GENSAN INFO OFFICE/Russell Delvo)
