GENERAL SANTOS CITY (15 August 2013) - Inquiries regarding the incoming 45th Charter Anniversary and Tuna Festival next month were clarified by City Mayor Ronnel Rivera in a press conference Wednesday, August 14. Together with City Administrator Atty. Arnel Zapatos, City Councilor Shandee Llido-Pestano, event organizer Engr. Edwin Maliwat and Col. Rowel Berango, Rivera announced to the media that the Tuna Festival will go on and that additional security forces will be deployed in the city. The no backpack rule will also be implemented by the GenSan City police inside the Oval Plaza, the festival's main event center. (GENSAN INFO OFFICE/Russell Delvo)
