GENERAL SANTOS CITY (29 November, 2013) – The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) mobilized its registration and licensing services in General Santos City on Monday (November 25) at Mindanao State University College of Education Training Department (MSU-CETD) which accommodated almost a thousand applicants on its first day.
PRC Davao Senior Public Relations Officer (PRO) Sheriel Loloy said the event aims to extend their office to board exam registrants from far-flung areas.
Loloy disclosed that this is in response to ongoing clamor of those that do not have the means to go to PRC Davao or PRC Zamboanga for registration.
Officers of the PRC also thanked the cooperation of City Mayor Ronnel Rivera by opening the city for their program.
This is the third continuous year that the PRC is conducting the mobile registration in the city.
Last year, the PRC reported that it accepted 2,000 clients from GenSan, Kidapawan, Sultan Kudarat and other neighboring provinces and municipalities.
This year, the PRC expects the same or greater volume of applicants for board exams.
The mobile service only caters to board exam applicants for Licensure Exam for Teachers (LET), Pharmacist Licensure Examination and Architect Licensure Examination.
License application for those who have already passed their respective board exams is also accepted at the mobile registration.
“Aside from convenience, this event also lessens our expenditure and hassle on the registration process for taking the board exams,” said Omar Jocelyn Sali, a BSED Major in Math from Sulu State College who availed of the services extended by the PRC. (GENSAN INFO OFFICE/Ian John Lagare)
