GENERAL SANTOS CITY (07 August 2013) - Two teams from Davao del Sur bag the 2nd (Team 9) and 1st (Team 8) places in the 6th Gensan Eco Karera. The two teams received P35,000 and P40,000, respectively. Themed "Pushing Limits, Conquering Boundaries", the Eco Karera consisted of 500 meters swimming, 8 kilometers trail running, 72 kilometers biking and 17 kilometers orienteering, making it one of the most rigorous adventure races in the Philippines. City Councilor Shadee Llido-Pestano, chair of the Tourism Committee, together with City Mayor Ronnel Rivera and Erwin Pastor Emata, congratulated both the winners and participants of the race.
