GENERAL SANTOS CITY (20 December 2013) – Newly-elected officials of Association of Barangay Captains-General Santos City (ABC-GSC) take their oath of office before City Mayor Ronnel Rivera in the presence of Department of Interior and Local Government officials on Wednesday, December 18, at Mt. Sabrina Resort. A toss-coin decision occurred during the election of ABC-GSC after both Roel Pacquiao, barangay captain of Apopong, and Lourdes Casabuena, barangay captain of City Heights garnered a 13-13 vote. Following the best-of-5 rule of the DILG, it was Pacquiao who emerged as the new president of the ABC-GSC and will be an ex-officio member of the Sangguniang Panlungsod .
