GENERAL SANTOS CITY (20 December 2013) - A fireworks display signaled the opening of Paskuhan sa GenSan 2013 Tuesday, December 17, at the Oval Grounds. Spectators said it was the first time for them to witness such preparation done for the Paskuhan sa GenSan. GenSan's first lady and tourism council chair Jane Rivera, organizer of Paskuhan sa GenSan, stated that this year's Paskuhan is to let people feel a "lively" and "high-spirited" Christmas celebration despite the recent tragedies that struck the country.
