GENERAL SANTOS CITY (9 January 2014) - A student of Banisil Central Elementary School flashes a sign of acknowledgement to the turnover of 100 armchairs by Mayor Ronnel C. Rivera Foundation and RD Foundation on Wednesday, January 8. Banisil Central Elementary School is the first recipient of "Edukasyon Mo, Kabuhayan Ko" program of City Mayor Ronnel Rivera this year in his aim to fill in the lacking 7,000 armchairs in the public schools of General Santos City. "Edukasyon Mo, Kabuhayan Ko" program is a subsidiary program of "Alay sa Kabataang Generals, Lahat ng Alaga at Talino" or "AKLAT" which is the main program of Mayor Rivera that supervises projects that will improve the educational sector of the city. Last August 2013, Mayor Rivera organized an "Education Summit" with all the stakeholders of this city to discuss the areas in the educational system of the city that are needed to be improved.
