BALANGIGA, Eastern Samar (07 December 2013) – GenSan City Mayor Ronnel Rivera sets foot in the premises of the historical Balangiga Church in Balangiga, a 4th class municipality in the province of Eastern Samar, on December 1. Even if left as ruins by typhoon Yolanda, Mayor Rivera still commended the beauty the church brings. The church itself sheltered a lot of people during the typhoon on November 9.
