GenSan City pioneers honored


GENERAL SANTOS CITY (25 February 2014) - General Santos City pays tribute to the pioneers of the city during the Gabi ng Parangal Sunday, February 23. City Councilors Atty. Ramon Milleza, Rosalita Nuñez and Elizabeth Bagonoc handed a diamond star award to Sufrigia Salazar  (extreme right), 98 years old. Some 29 pioneers aging 90 and above were also awarded with diamond star token and other 192 pioneers aging 75 to 89 were awarded settlement children token. Gabi Ng Parangal was organized by The Sons and Daughters of General Santos City Pioneers. This event is in line with GenSan's 75th Founding Anniversary and 25th Kalilangan with this year’s theme “Gensan @ 75: Living the Culture”.  GENSAN INFO OFFICE/Russel Delvo.)
